To all you super moms out there, I hope you had a beautiful Mother’s Day that began and ended on a sweet note. As a mother myself, even though I cherish the trappings received from my children as a sign of their love, this day reminded me to give them everything they need to succeed in life. I started JAM to give my children the gift of music—a scientifically proven way to empower children cognitively and emotionally.
Years down the line, our passion for helping mothers who want the same opportunity for their children to develop through music, still drives the company. The good thing is you don’t have to go through the learning curve that I did as a working mom trying to balance my children’s music education with their social and academic needs. Let us help you.
Joe’s Academy of Music is here to actively support you and your loved ones with our knowledge and skill. We love our community in Queens and Brooklyn which we have served for almost 20 years, and we look forward to more years of empowering children. Our philosophy of providing mothers everywhere with a safe and supportive environment for their children to learn music is based on scientific research and personal experience on the numerous benefits of music. For example, a study conducted at the University of Southern California found that musical experiences in childhood help with brain development, particularly in the areas of language acquisition, reading skills & mathematical learning.
Children who learn music tend to perform better in standardised tests such as the SATs. I can testify that from my personal experience, music education has numerous benefits. My older son is now the CFO for Joe’s and he was the pianist for Donnie Mclurkin and my youngest is on a full ride Virtuoso scholarship to Valley Forge University and plays 10 instruments. We know just how hard you work to provide your children with every opportunity they need to succeed. Now, give them the gift of music. Here is a small gift from us to help you give your loved ones the gift of music. [MOTHERSJAM]
